Description
James Madison, signer of the Constitution, author of the Federalist papers, framer of the Bill of Rights, Secretary of the State and 4th President of the United States. Madison knew the immense task that was laid before the Founders. He also understood that if God was not working with them, then they would not succeed. He understood that building a new nation was not the most important thing, but making sure we were prepared for what came after: “A watchful eye must be kept on ourselves lest, while we are building ideal monuments of renown and bliss here, we neglect to have our names enrolled in the Annals of Heaven.”
During his inauguration, He stated, “We have all been encouraged to feel the guardianship, and guidance of that Almighty Being, whose power regulates the destiny of nations."
